Bhutan Baby Prince Commemorative Banknotes to be Sold in Singapore

From 23rd March onwards, Singapore mint is going to sell special limited-edition banknotes that were issued to commemorate the birth of Bhutan's crown prince Jigme.Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck was born on 5th February 2016 to Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema.
The face value of these special notes is Ngultrum 100 and will be sold at S$25 each. A total of 1 million pieces were released out of which a limited number was allocated for the Singapore market.
Singapore Mint's e-store and its retail outlets at Chinatown Point, City Square Mall and Suntec City apart from the company's head office at Teban Gardens Crescent would be offering these notes on sale.
To celebrate Singapore Mint’s 50th anniversary, the first 1,000 pieces purchased each day during the Singapore International Coin Fair from 23rd to 25th March at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre would be sold for S$15 each. The offer would be available only at the coin fair and would be limited to five pieces per customer on a first-come, first-served basis.
Commemorative coins for the coronation of King Jigme were produced by Singapore Mint in 2008. Commemorative banknotes for the king's wedding with Queen Jetsun were also marketed by Singapore Mint in 2011.
