Just when St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner, the Royal Canadian Mint is now releasing a one-ounce $20 silver coin featuring a four-leaf clover.

Very rarely will you find a four-leaf clover in an emerald field of shamrock, but with this new coin release composed in 99.99% pure silver, the luck of the Irish is never far away.

The reverse features a green enameled four leaf clover. Around the clover are inscriptions of ‘CANADA’, ‘20 DOLLARS’ the year ‘2016’ and ‘LC’ for the coin’s designer, artist Lilyane Coulombe.

The obverse features Susanna Blunt’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Around the portrait are inscriptions of ‘ELIZABETH II’ and ‘D G REGINA’.
