Monaco Post issues special stamps featuring the weddings of Royalties of the county. The post of Monaco celebrates this joyous occasion with special stamp issues.

To start with, Monaco post issued special commemorative stamp set to celebrate the wedding of Prince Rainier III and American actress Grace Kelly. The stamps were issued in April 1956, afer the wedding and the coronation of the Prince.

This set of 5 stamps is issued in different colours and different denominations of 1franc, 2 francs, 3 francs, 5 francs and 15 francs. These stamps were very popular and the lower denominations can often be found in children’s albums of the period.

Most recently, Royal Wedding appears on the stamps of July 2011. On the occasion of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco’ marriage to Miss Charlene Wittstock, Monaco will issued four postage-stamps.

These issues are available in 4 colours with the denominations of 0.55 cent, 0.60 cents, 0.89 cent and 1.25cents. the release of stamps accompanied by a special philatelic programme.
