2017-03-17 Fri
In March 2015 a huge mosaic of almost 230,000 stamps, made in Spain by Correos, got a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest ever mosaic made of stamps. Peter Boyd made a huge 27 by 9 meters mosaic in England, over a period of 10 long years, using 528,200 stamps to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Royal Mail's Machin stamp design. The mosaic was exhibited in Farnborough, England from 10th to 11th March at the Southern England Stamp Show. A 2017 commemorative stamp was also released to celebrate this event. This mosaic is two times bigger in terms of the number of stamps used to make it and also in terms of size.Latest News
