The 80th anniversary of the first woman aviator, Amelia Earhart to fly alone across the globe was celebrated with the release of an 8¢ Amelia Earhart airmail stamp on 24th July 1963. The American aviator crossed the Atlantic but vanished on 2nd July 1937.The stamp was issued in panes of 50 and promotional advertisers apart from collectors love this stamp.
