Three Baltic Nations – One Common Celebratory Coin!

A common 2 euro commemorative coin will be issued in 2018 by 3 Baltic States to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Latvian and Estonian states and the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Lithuanian statehood. Citizens of these Baltic States will be selecting the coin design through an online vote. The coin design aims to celebrate this historical moment for these nations and also reflect the unity between Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian nations for independence and freedom.Six concepts will be presented, two from each country for public voting on a special website. Latvia's centenary celebration is engaging the general public and the different activities will go on until 1st November 2022. Bank of Latvia will be introducing various commemorative and collector coin series dedicated to the foundation of an independent state.
