Diamonds are the hardest naturally occurring substances found on earth and it also happens to be the most attractive of all precious stones due to its shiny character. Diamonds are most sought after and admired because of their strength and beauty.

We all love diamonds, don’t we? Apart from jewellery, they are also used for industrial purpose.

The Cullinan I Diamond is the largest gem-quality diamond ever found. It was discovered in Cullinan, modern-day South Africa, on 26th January 1905.

Cullinan I is still the largest clear cut diamond in the world. It is known as the great star of Africa and Cullinan II is known as the second star of Africa. The Republic of South Africa issued stamps on this world’s largest quality of diamonds. One of them bears the image of Cullinan I with its 530,2 carat for 20 cents. While the other stamp has the image of Cullinan II with 317,4 carat for 15 cents.
