Catherine Middleton - Duchess of Cambridge

We wish Her Royal Highness, Catherine Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge a very Happy Birthday! Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, the eldest daughter of Michael and Carole Middleton was born on 9th January 1982 in Berkshire. She was christened at St. Andrew’s Bradfield, Berkshire on 20th June 1982.

Completing her schooling in Berkshire with a gap of two and a half years in between when she had shifted to Jordan along with her family, she went to Marlborough College in Wiltshire, where she studied Chemistry, Biology, and Art. She excelled at sports and played Tennis, Hockey, High Jump, etc. She completed her Duke of Edinburgh Award here. She took a gap year and studied at the British Institute in Florence, undertook a Raleigh International Programme in Chile, and crewed on Round the World Challenge boats in the Solent.

In 2001, she enrolled at the University of St. Andrews, Fife where she first met The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William; she graduated from here in 2005 with a 2:1 in History of Art. She worked in her family business- Party Pieces and later in 2008, launched First Birthdays, a junior brand to Party Pieces.

The Duke and Duchess were married on 29th April 2011 at Westminster Abbey. They have 2 children- Prince George Alexander Louis (22nd July 2013) and Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana (2nd May 2015).

Solomon Islands issued this commemorative 9 Solomon Islands dollar stamp of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge on 05th June 2012 under the series Royal Charity. The stamp shows the bust of Catherine on the right-hand side and Prince William with a small boy sitting on the floor behind.
