The New York International Numismatic Convention (NYINC) will be held from 12th to 15th January at Manhattan. A 1923 100 Tomans by the Imperial Bank of Persia, payable at Kermanshah only, graded Choice Very Fine 35 by WBG from Iran, will be offered. The bank was closed in 1932 and the 100 Tomans was the highest denomination issued. In that year, just 153 notes of this denomination were still outstanding. The banknote offered at the auction is extremely rare.A rare 1908 Zanzibar 5 Rupees graded Very Fine 35 by PCGS is another highlight. It is extremely challenging for collectors to find notes from this country. 5 Rupees notes in issued form are extremely rare to be offered at an auction. This banknote was seen at a coin shop in the United States and is the finest known piece featuring this design.
