Saudi Arabia Releases New Currency

New Saudi currency banknotes and coins are being distributed by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) at its main branch in Jeddah.A maximum of SR3,215 can be exchanged by one person. People in large numbers came down at the branch on Monday to get their money exchanged. Each person can obtain five pieces of SR2 and five pieces of SR1 coins at all the 10 branches. SR100 of SR5 and SR10 banknotes with a maximum of SR1,000 will be given in the denominations of SR50, SR100 and SR500 banknotes. The notes are not available at the ATMs as they have not reached the bank.Latest News
