The South African post has recently come up with a new impressive stamp which marks the 100 years of publishing educational books in Southern Africa.In the year 2015, Oxford University Press Southern Africa celebrated the 100 years of publishing educational books in Southern Africa. On this occasion, an art and writing completion was held for schools under the theme of “My Education My Future”.
A miniature sheet issued on this occasion features the winning entry from the competition. The stamp’s design is based on the artwork of Junaid Opperman a grade 8 student from a school in Western Cape province.
The stamp features a boy reading a book with his name and mentioned on the top right corner.
