Indira Gandhi was awarded Bharat Ratna!

The First Female Prime minister Of India was awarded the highest award of India the Bharat Ratna today on 18th December in 1971.Indira PrIyadarshini Gandhi was born on 19th November 1917 in Allahabad. She was elected the President of the Indian National Congress and later elected as the Prime minister of India.
She was a legendary woman who helped in formation of Bangladesh and who started a revolution to help the drought affected farmers of Punjab. She died on 31st October 1984.
India along with many other countries has issued stamps depicting Indira Gandhi. India has issued Commemorative and Definitive stamps depicting Indira Gandhi. These stamps are of various denominations.
Many other countries including East Germany, Argentina, Russia, Fujeira, Burundi etc have also issued stamps depicting Indira Gandhi.
