More images and product details of the 2016-W Proof American Silver Eagle coins were revealed by the U.S. Mint. The release of this most awaited coin is all set for today.

The collector coin has a smooth edge with the inscription "30th ANNIVERSARY" after the FAST act was passed. Traditional reeded edge would be featured on the future editions.

The coins would be sold at $53.95 which is $5 more than last year’s edition that was released on 2nd January 2015 as the cost of silver was lower at that time. The rest of the specifics of the coin remain the same.

The coins can be purchased individually and also as a part of the Congratulations Sets and Ronald Reagan Coin & Currency Sets.
