80 Coin Exchange Melas Organised in Vijayawada

ICICI Bank Ltd organised 80 coin exchange melas at its branches in Vijayawada like MG Road, One Town, Elluru Road, Bharathi Nagar and Poranki, Pushkar Ghat, Datha Complex, NTR Health University, Besant Road etc in the last week of July.The melas were organised to celebrate the festival of ‘Krishna Pushkaram’, giving the pilgrims who had come down to the city a chance to exchange their soiled and mutilated currency notes with fresh ones. The Reserve Bank of India monitored the entire event.
Almost 5000 people participated in the event and coins worth Rs. 35 lakh in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs. 5, Rs. 2 and Re.1 were exchanged. The bank organizes several such free of cost melas regularly across the country and gets an amazing response each time.
