Shimmering Snowflake on Canadian Coin

The latest release by Royal Canadian Mint was inspired by a photographer named Don Komarechka who is known for his beautiful macro photography skills. They issued a coin featuring a six-sided dendrite ice crystal. Don Komarechka has published a book on snowflakes (Sky Crystals) and is also working on a new series on macro photography.The coin features special shimmering enamel, new to Royal Canadian Mint which makes the snowflake sparkle when you look at it from different angles.
The mintage limit of these silver $20 coins with blue glitter enamel is only 6,000. The coin can be purchased for $113.95.
