The third coin released of the four-coin 2016 Migratory Birds Convention Series is a $20 American Goldfinch Silver Proof Coin.

The reverse features an American goldfinch in flight revealing its canary-like colours, set against a rural landscape featuring an old farmhouse, a split-rail fence, and an aspen tree. Inscriptions include the artist D’Angelo’s initials of CD, 2016, and 20 DOLLARS.

The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth along with the inscriptions ELIZABETH II, D G REGINA, 1 OZ FINE SILVER 9999 and 1 OZ ARGENT PUR 9999.

The mintage limit of the 1 ounce of 99.99% pure silver coin is 6,500 and each coin costs 99.95 Canadian dollars.
