The Handover of the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games to 2020 Tokyo is commemorated with two Proof silver 1,000-yen coins by Japan. 1,000-yen coloured .999 fine 31.1 grams silver coins of each variety would be struck featuring the Olympic flags and globe. These would be Japan’s first coloured coins. The mintage limit per coin is 50,000 pieces; the sales would begin in September and they would be released around December 2016.Latest News
