Gold and Silver Market Trends

Gold recently gained a lot in the markets which had its effect on the sale of coins. Gold for December was priced at $1,327.10 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. The value fluctuated from $1,317.70 to $1,328.30 and fell 1.5% last week. The value of silver in September has risen and settled at $18.859 an ounce. Silver value fluctuated from $18.46 and $18.93 and collapsed last week by 3.5%.

12,000 ounces in gold coins were sold by the US Mint like last week’s total, and 412,500 ounces in silver coins, 20,000 ounces short of last week’s total. 27,500 Theodore Roosevelt National Park Coins were sold on the first day of its release.
