Roosevelt Coin Release and NPS Anniversary Coincides

Theodore Roosevelt National Park was commemorated on the 34th coin that was released through the United States Mint, America the Beautiful Quarter Program. The coin release coincided with the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service which was celebrated by coin collectors, nature enthusiasts, students, teachers, travellers and important speakers.The delegates at the event were all extremely impressed with the coin design and believed that the coin would create more awareness about the national parks. They urged the youngsters to continue the legacy that Mr. Roosevelt began. Roosevelt was also the man behind iconic images on American coins including the standing statue of liberty. The coin features the image of the then president on a horse.
5 coins are going to be released under the America the Beautiful Quarter Program and this will be the only coin to ever be unveiled on the 100th anniversary the NPS.
