Brexit Vote Commemorated on Cook Islands Coin

Cook Islands recently issued three collector coins to celebrate vote for Britain’s exit from the European Union, which is also known as Brexit.

On June 23rd, the United Kingdom officially left the European Union which had its effect on the stock markets. This event would go down as one of the most significant moments in the EU history.

Coin Invest Trust, a private Lichtenstein-based company issued a .999 fine silver dollar, a .9999 fine gold $5 coin, and a .9999 fine gold $20 coin, featuring a map of United Kingdom and the Union Jack flag. The $1 and $20 coins feature the Union Jack in colour. The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

The silver dollars weigh 3 grams, have a mintage limit of 2,016 pieces and are already sold out. The gold $5 piece weighs 0.5 gram and has a mintage limit of 10,000 pieces; the gold $20 coin weighs 3.1 grams and has a mintage limit of 2,016 pieces.
