Federal Bank and MMTC Collaborate to offer Indian Gold Coin

Federal Bank has announced that it has collaborated with MMTC for the circulation of Indian Gold Coin (IGC).Officials say that the bank is the private sector bank to offer these coins to its customers. The 5, 10 and 20 grams 24 karat, 999 fine gold coins featuring the national emblem of Ashok Chakra on one side and a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi on the other side are distributed through some branches of the Bank across India. They are the only BIS hallmarked coin in India which carries advanced security features and tamper proof packaging.
