Austria announced the release of the third and final coin in the Austrian Mint’s Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart series.Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a musical genius who died at a young age of 35, just weeks after the premiere of his famous opera The Magic Flute and became a legend after that. Mozart was known for his larger-than-life personality, extravagant lifestyle and flamboyant nature.
The coin’s reverse features a scene from the opera and the obverse features a portrait of Mozart eavesdropping on his inner music. The word ‘Mozart’ is inscribed under the portrait. When the coin is placed with the other two coins in the series, they together read the composer’s full name.
The third coin would be released on 7th September and has a mintage limit of 50,000.
