Sarojini Naidu: The Nightingale of India

Sarojini Naidu, born on February 13, 1879, in Hyderabad, was a notable Indian politician and poet, famously called the 'Nightingale of India' for her lyrical works. She was the first Indian woman to become the President of the Indian National Congress. In 1931, she chaired the Kanpur Congress, participated in Salt Satyagraha, and represented Indian women at the London Round Table.
