Hyderabad Nizam Mir Usman Khan's Gold Ashrafi Sold For INR 1,90,000

Mir Usman Ali Khan was the last Nizam of Hyderabad. He ruled this state between 1911 CE and 1948 CE until it was merged with the Indian Union. During his rule, Mir Usman Ali Khan issued a gold Ashrafi weighing 11.22 grams. This gold Ashrafi sold for INR 1,90,000 at an auction held in Mumbai on November 23, 2024.The obverse features Charminar with the Persian letter 'Ain'in doorway, AH 1349. The reverse features the Name and title of the king, Mint name Fakhandah Bunyad Hyderabad and Regnal year 20.
