A rare gold mohur belonging to Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan was auctioned in Mumbai on November 24, 2024, for INR 130000. This coin was minted in Lahore during the Hijri year 1052 (1642 CE), corresponding to the 16th year of the emperor's reign.The obverse features the legend Shah Jahan Badshah Gazi and RY in the knotted square, with the mint name Shihab Al-Din Muhammad Sahib Qiran Shani in the margin. The reverse features the legend Kalima and AH Date in Knotted Square, names of caliphs.
