On 16th December 1775, Jane Austen an English Novelist known for her Social representation of Women in her Era was born in England.

She was well known for her works now regarded as classics, such as Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, and Emma.

Royal Mail issued a postage stamp in 2013 to commemorate the Bicentenary of her Publication - Pride and Prejudice which celebrated wit, irony, and a detailed portrayal of early 19th Century English Society.
