The Kadambas of Goa ruled the territories of the Shilaharas and ruled them from Chandor, later making Gopakapattana their capital.An Extremely Rare Gold Gadayana of King Shasthadeva II, weighing 3.7g, was sold for INR 1,75,000 in an auction held in Mumbai on November 24, 2024.
The obverse depicts a majestic roaring lion with a curled tail facing left, in front of a ceremonial Sword with a ribbon tied to the scabbard. The reverse depicts A trident (Trishul) with ‘Sri Malaha / ramari’ inscribed below, in Kannada in two lines.
