Chahamanas of Shakambhari, also known as Chauhans of Sambhar or Chauhans of Ajmer, were the prominent ruling family of the Chauhan Rajput clan. They ruled parts of Rajasthan and neighbouring areas from the 6th Century to the 12th Century.This Billon Bull-and-Horseman type Jital, issued by King Someshvara, weighs 3.36g.
The obverse features a seated Bull facing to the left, and the Devanagari legend 'Samanta Deva' above. The reverse features a Horseman marching to right; Devanagari legend Sri so/mesvara deva.
