Silver Dinarius of Roman Emperor Hadrian

Hadrian, born Publius Aelius Hadrianus on January 24, 76 CE, was a Roman Emperor from 117 to 138 CE. During his reign, he focused on strengthening and securing borders instead of expanding them. He is best known for building Hadrian's Wall, marking the northern limit of Britannia. He also promoted arts and architecture, including the construction of the Pantheon and the Temple of Venus and Roma.This Silver Denarius issued by Hadrian weighs between 3.0-3.28g. The obverse features Bare and bearded bust facing right; legend HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P around and the reverse features Roma seated left on a low seat, shield at her side, holding palladium and spear; legend ROMAE AETERNAE.
