The Vishnukundin dynasty was an Indian dynasty that ruled parts of present-day Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and other southern Indian regions from the 5th to the 7th centuries. They gained territory from the Vakataka Empire and rose to power following the decline of the Satavahanas.Vishnukundin dynasty, Copper base alloy unit. The obverse features lion to the right with an upraised paw, crescent above, a bold dot just above the lion’s back and a Shrivatsa above the raised paw. The reverse features conch shell between two tridents.
