Sant Tukaram Maharaj, a 17th-century Marathi saint and poet from Maharashtra, was a devotee of Lord Vithoba. His Abhanga poetry, worshipped by the Varkari tradition, reflects his spiritual journey. In his Abhanga, Tukaram mentions four individuals—Sant Namdev, Dnyanehwar, Kabir, and Eknath—who were significant in his spiritual growth. There are about one thousand Abhanga composed by Tukaram. His Abhangas has become the cultural part of Maharashtra.In 2002, India Post released a commemorative stamp featuring Saint Tukaram.
On this auspicious day of Aashadi Ekadashi, Mintage World pays tribute to this great saint.
