The Western Kshatrapas, also known as Western Satraps, were Indo-Scythian (Saka) rulers who governed the western and central parts of the Indian subcontinent.King Vijaysena ruled Western Kshatrapas from 238 CE (160 SE) to 250 CE (172 SE). He issued coins as Kshatrapa from 160 SE to 161 SE and later as Mahakshatrapa from 162 SE to 172 SE.
King Vijaysena, a ruler of the Western Kshatrapas, issued this silver drachm weighing 2.33 grams.
Obverse: Bust of the king facing right, Greek legend around and Saka date behind head 164 SE.
Reverse: Brahmi legend Rajño Mahakshatrapasa Damasenaputrasa Rajño Mahakshatrapasa Vijayasenasa.
