Gold Dinar of Kushan Emperor Huvishka I

Kushan Emperor Huvishka succeeded Kanishka I and reigned until the succession of Vasudeva I. His reign represented the golden age of the Kushan Empire.Huvishka issued a gold dinar weighing 7.88 grams. The obverse features Bust of the king facing left, holding a mace sceptre in his right hand and filleted spear in his left. The reverse features Goddess Ardokhsho stands to the right, carrying a cornucopia. The Bactrian legend ARDOKhShO is found in the left field, with Tamgha in the right.
