Gold Gajapati Pagoda of Western Ganga Dynasty

Western Ganga was one of the important ruling dynasties of ancient Karnataka from 350 CE to 1000 CE.King Konganivarman Madhava was the first ruler of this dynasty, ruled between 350 CE and 370 CE. His successors, Madhava I and Harivarman, made military and matrimonial ties with the Pallavas, Chalukyas, and Kadambas to increase their power.
This Gold Gajapati Pagoda, 3.88g, was issued by the ruler of Western Gangas.
The Obverse of this Gold Gajapati Pagoda features an ornate Elephant standing facing right, there is a 3-layer pearl garland on the neck of the elephant. The reverse of this coin features Ornamental floral scroll.
