Commemorative Coins to Mark the 15th Anniversary of Sept 11

The 15th Anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, will be observed in a special way with the release of a commemorative pin and coin with the theme “United in Memory” designed by a Virginia company named C. Forbes Inc.Commemorative items that were released on the fifth and tenth anniversaries are on display at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City, the Pentagon and the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. Final approval is awaited for the coins and pins to be sold at the Flight 93 National Memorial site. These commemorative items are a way to remember the people who were affected on that fateful day.
The brass lapel pins have an antique finish and feature four colours, the 15-year anniversary date and the images of first responders and the American flag. The obverse of the brass coin also depicts the same imagery. The reverse portrays the American bald eagle and the locations of each of the plane crash sites.
The pin can be purchased for $4.95 and the coin for $9.95.
