Coin Exchange Mela in Puri

ICICI Bank Ltd had organised a coin exchange mela during the 'Rath Yatra' festival at the RBI financial literacy camp in Bholanath Vidyapith. The event took place under the guidance of the Reserve Bank of India and was inaugurated by S. P. Mohanty, General Manager, Issue Department of RBI.These kinds of exchange melas are organized regularly by the bank where the general public get a chance to exchange soiled and mutilated currency notes with fresh currency and coins.
Over 52000 people participated in the mela and coins worth Rs. 6.34 lakh in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs.5, Rs.2 and Re.1 were exchanged. Fresh currency worth Rs 6.25 lakh in denominations of Rs.100, Rs.50, Rs.20 and Rs.10 was also exchanged.
