Pobjoy Mint and Isle of Man Part Ways

The partnership between Pobjoy Mint and the Isle of Man went on for more than 40 years. On 19th July it was announced officially that from March 2017, Pobjoy Mint will not be representing the Isle of Man as the official producer of their legal tender coins. The Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown dependency located in the Irish Sea between the United Kingdom and Ireland. Since the Isle of Man has announced a reduction in the number of themes for a given year, many coins will not be made.The Pobjoy Mint will keep striking coins for Ascension Island, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Falkland Islands and South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands.
