Mira, also known as Mirabai, is a celebrated saint known for her love towards lord Krishna. She was a Rajput princess and the only daughter of Ratan Singh.She is well-known as a Hindu mystical poet. Mostly she is famous for her bhajan Compositions. She wrote more than 1300 prayer songs. Most of her compositions she wrote to praise Lord Krishna. She sacrifices almost everything for her devotion towards lord Krishna. She gave her family for the love of God and attained Moksha by following Bhakti Yoga.
India post issued a commemorative stamp in 1952 to commemorate her.
