Lalit Narayan Mishra was a politician and served as Minister of Railways in the Government of India from 1973 to 1975. He was appointed as adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Trade. He gained Master of Arts degree in economics from Patna University in 1948. He was brought into politics by the first Chief Minister of Bihar, Krishna Sinha.A commemorative stamp was issued on his first death anniversary, January 3, 1976.
