Grenada: Commemorative stamp on Woodrow Wilson

Thomas Woodrow Wilson was born on 28th December 1856. Wilson was an American politician and also served as the 28th president of the US from 1913 to 1921. He was a member of the Democratic Party. Before winning the presidential elections of 1912, he served as the governor of New Jersey and the president of Princeton University. Wilson changed the nation’s economic policies and led the US to the Great War in 1917. He was the architect of the League of Nations.He imposed the Revenue Act in 1913, which began the modern income tax. He showed neutrality during World War I. Later on that basis, he won the presidential election of 1916. During his tenure, the US declared war on Germany.
He suffered a severe stroke in 1919 that left him incapacitated and was controlled by his doctor. Wilson died on 3rd February 1924.
Grenada issued a commemorative stamp of Woodrow Wilson on 25th January 1978. It is a multicolour stamp that portrays his image.
