This jewel in Jodhpur is one of India's largest forts. It was built by titans and lighted by the glory of fire, blood, and love—the largest of India's forts serve as suitable "monuments" to the rulers and people of India, who persistently fought with armies to preserve their independence and keep their faith and culture alive. Mehrangarh Fort is a 1,200-acre fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. The complex was built in 1459 by Rajput king Rao Jodha on a hilltop about 122 meters above the surrounding plain, though most of the existing structure is from the 17th century.India issued a stamp featuring India Fort on August 3, 1984. The denomination is 200 paisa. The stamp portrays Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, one of India's forts.
