This 1 Barbados Dollar banknote was one of eight distinct denominations of Barbados Dollar banknotes released by the Central Bank of Barbados (National Heroes Square). They are a part of the collection of discontinued Barbadian Dollar banknotes. These one-dollar bills were first printed by the Central Bank of Barbados in 1973. They were taken off the market in 1980.In 1980, the $1 Barbados dollar coin took the place of the banknote. Up to that point, it was Barbados's lowest denomination notes.
