Commemorative stamp of Four Freedoms

On January 6, 1941, US President Franklin D. Roosevelt articulated the Four Freedoms. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt based his vision for a postwar world on four human freedoms: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear.A 1¢ United States cent bright blue-green was issued on February 12, 1943, to promote the spread of the Four Freedoms to the world. The themes are torches. The stamp's dimensions are 21 x 25 mm. The design depicts Liberty holding the Torch of Enlightenment, with the words "Freedom of Speech and Religion, from Want and Fear" inscribed below. As a patriotic regular-issue stamp replaced the 1-cent National Defense stamp in 1940. The perforations in line11x10½.
