Commemorative stamp of Farmer’s Day

The country of India is commemorating the first anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri's death. 'JAI JAWAN JAI KISAN' was the slogan he used to cheer soldiers to defend India and farmers to raise food grain output.On January 11, 1967, a stamp was issued. The obverse of the stamp depicts the farmer’s pickling the crop in the field; inscribe jai hind over the stamp's corner. Agriculture, Anniversaries, and Jubilees are the themes. The philately series is Commemorative. Denominations have a face value of 15 P - Indian paise. The stamp is yellow-green in colour. Perforation: comb 13 ½x 14. Photogravure printing is used.
