50th-anniversary commemorative stamp of ICRISAT

The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is an international organization that operates agricultural research for rural development, headquartered in Patancheru, Telangana. It was founded in 1972 by a consortium of organizations assembled by the Ford and the Rockefeller foundations.Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the stamp commemorating the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the ICRISAT. During the occasion, PM also inaugurated two research facilities of ICRISAT, on Plant Protection and Rapid Generation Advancement Facility.
These two facilities are dedicated to the smallholder farmers of Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Prime Minister also unveiled a specially designed logo of ICRISAT.
