2016-07-18 Mon
The third silver coin of the “Geometry in Art” series by The Royal Canadian Mint features the Beaver which is already depicted on circulation Canadian coinage since 1937. The beaver is always busy and productive who build living spaces for themselves using leaves, twigs and branches along rivers and lakes. The reverse features two beavers showcased in a low “poly art” style. Brilliant technology and finishing techniques make the design look even more appealing. The design showcases the beavers, a dam built by them, an underwater glimpse of the dam with the blue sky, green conifers and rocky cliffs in the background. The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
The face value of the coin is 20 dollars and the mintage is limited to 7500 pieces.
