Ram Narain Malhotra was the 17thgovernor of the Reserve Bank of India and served between 4 February 1985 and 22 December 1990. He also served as Secretary, of Finance, and as India's Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund. The 500-rupee note was introduced during his tenure.The 2 Rupee Note of R.N.
