Brunei 20-Dollar Commemorative Note

Brunei issued a 20-dollar polymer commemorative note in 2007 which celebrates the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement between Brunei and Singapore.Issued 27 June 2007, this orange polymer note features on the obverse the ipomoea pes-capre – the plant that symbolized the treaty. The plant is shown in full bloom beside the portrait of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah who is wearing a dastar headgear and the military uniform.
Its reverse side features the coat of arms and significant landmarks from both Singapore and Brunei i.e. the esplanade and buildings along the island's waterfront the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, the Royal Barge, and the Water Village respectively.
