Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin who led the Soviet Union from the mid–1920s until 1953 became the Premier of the country on 6th May 1941.The Premier of the Soviet Union was the head of government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. During World War II Stalin emerged as the most successful of the supreme leaders. When Germany was spreading its claws over Poland and other countries, Russian under the leadership of Stalin took over Eastern Europe.
The coin above was issued in the year 1945. This 100 Ruble coin was issued to commemorate the victory of the USSR over Nazi Germany. The obverse of the coin depicts a Portrait of Joseph Stalin with the coat of arms of the USSR at the bottom. The reverse of the coin depicts the order of victory along with the value and the date.
