Mauritania's 100 Ouguiya Note

The ouguiya is the currency of Mauritania which was introduced in 2018. The name ouguiya is the Hassaniya Arabic pronunciation of uqiyyah, meaning "ounce".New banknotes and new coins were introduced in 2004. These notes have completely new fronts and the vignettes on the backs have been redesigned to accommodate the reduction in size. All but the 100- and 200-ouguiya notes have the denomination expressed in Arabic numerals in a holographic patch on the right front.
Mauritania's 100 Ouguiya note depicts geometric and ornamental designs with native motives on the obverse and String musical instruments namely Ardin and a cow in front of ancient Ksour of Ouadane, Chinguetti, Tichitt, and Oualata.
